YOUR
FIRST VISIT
The first time you visit our dental office, you’ll receive a detailed and careful oral examination by one of our dentists. The examination generally focuses on checking whether you have conditions such as gum diseases and tooth decay among other conditions that can affect your mouth and overall health. After a careful examination of your dental problem and medical record, our dentist will talk to you about available treatment options that you might benefit from.
PATIENT EXAM
For new patients, the whole examination process will take up to 1-1 1/2 hours to make sure we’re thorough. The following is what we do as part of our patient examination process:
- Taking the patient’s full detailed dental and medical history
- Checking your gums and teeth and recording the information on our computer system
- Checking if your jaw point is functioning normally
- Checking lymph nodes and oral-cancer screening through a visual examination of your mouth
- X-raying if necessary
- Discussing with you about your oral hygiene routine
- Formulation of the right treatment plan for our patients
TREATMENT PLAN
The treatment plan for each patient is unique depending on the nature of the dental condition he or she is having. The following are two broad categories of our treatment plans:
- General dentistry treatment plan — if you’ve a problem relating to abnormal functioning of your teeth, gums or the jaws, then you will be enrolled to our general dentistry treatment plan. This includes Maxillofacial and root canal treatment, crowns and artificial teeth fitting, dentures and bridges anchoring and teeth filling among others.
- Cosmetic dentistry treatment plan — if you’re looking towards revamping or improving the appearance of your teeth, but necessarily in relation to how they naturally function, we’ll enroll you in our cosmetic dentistry treatment plan. These may include reshaping and whitening your teeth, treating decayed teeth and porcelain lamination among other services.
